Katherine Heigl is open about being raised living in "a White bubble." The actress also discusses how that realization has affected the way she raises adopted children that are multiracial. In recent episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl revealed that she did not care about her complexion until she got to know her adoptive sister who was from South Korea. "I I asked my sister Meg whether she'd been treated in one manner when she went out in public with our parents, and another way in the time she was by herself without them. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every time!" Heigl spoke to Parents about when she realized the naivety of her actions. She became enraged, and she decided to make use of her anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black and was adopted in 2009.
