Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 at the Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became Comaneci's coach and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. She first competed in the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in 1970. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. Her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. She became the first female to complete a reverse double salo with the parallel bar that was uneven in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment began as a teenager. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career in her teens. When she was a child she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
