April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing guitar and taking piano lessons, sparking her love for writing songs. April Lockhart penned her first song"Different" when she was 12 years old. At the age of 14 April spent a lot of her time to creating and playing with songs. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father as well as write her songs either in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the tune "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with problems like peer pressure, issues, or even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with a growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia in partnership, and is also an expert in the field of lifestyle. Her disability is a part of her personality, but it is not the whole picture. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not conceal her handicap, but it doesn't just focus on it. What is the message? Lockhart, via video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I don't wish for this to define myself. I am far more than just my physical self. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I carry on the same way as I always do and have found different ways of adapting. However, I also consider it a very important component of my life. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. However, she admits having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing which displayed her arms. She can wear whatever she wants, and she happily shares pictures of her dressed in her favorite outfits. She says that self-love is a process. It's hard to say whether you'll get to the final stage. But I think that's common to everyone regardless of what the source of their anxiety. I think that having people around you who really are aware of you and know your heart is really important since they'll be those who remind you What are you worrying about?
